Georgia Music Educators Association All-State Chorus
February 23-25, 2017 UGAÂ Athens, GA
In order to participate in the regional audition, you must complete the All-State Participation form and return the bottom portion with parent signature and check for $20 payable to Walton High School Chorus by 3 pm, Friday, September 16, 2016. If you pass the regional audition, our Walton Choral Boosters support and applaud your efforts by paying the fees and music for the final audition.

Read all the information on the GMEA site carefully as the audition changed this year, including starting pitches for scales. Â You can totally do this, but it requires daily practice. Â You will be a better singer from having gone through the All-State preparation and audition process.
Coaching Sessions:
During your lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Â Final coaching session and mock audition during WEB, 1:15 – 3 pm November 2.
Students may also request coaching from the National Honor Society and arrange individual schedules.
AUDITIONS:
Regional Audition: Saturday, November 12, 2016  Woodland High School 800 Old Alabama Road  Cartersville, GA 30120
Final Audition: Â Friday – 5 – 9 pm, January 20, 2017 Â Kell High School
Solos must be sung from memory. You should learn the solo exactly as played on the rehearsal tracks located on the gmea website.
