2022-23 Chorus Officer Application

Please submit your chorus officer application by April 22, 2022.

Officer Duties

WHS Chorus President and President of each ensemble: Student assistant to the director.   Represents the chorus in school functions.  Head of student officers.  Supervises committees for special projects.  Organizes set-up and take-down at concerts.  Keeps up group morale and unity.  Helps with publicity of chorus events including website maintenance.

WHS Chorus Vice-President: In charge of recruitment, lettering, thank you notes to Boosters and communication.  Organizes chorus room and materials.   Assists the President and Director as needed.

WHS Chorus Vice-President of Tri-M: Liaison between senior chorus students in Tri-M and Mrs. Grimes, Tri-M Teacher Sponsor.

WHS Chorus Librarian: Maintains music library and trains all chorus librarians.  

Concert Managers: Directs and organizes concerts.

  1. Why do you want to be a chorus officer?
  2. What have you done this year that makes you officer material?
  3. How have you been a role model to other students in chorus?
  4. How will you demonstrate your leadership capabilities and iniative if you are selected?
  5. What do you see as the chorus’ goals for next year?
  6. What do you see as your role as a student officer?
  7. Will you make every effort to go on the chorus trip?
  8. Will you be available to attend meetings and help with other choruses?
  9. What other clubs/organizations/part-time jobs are you involved? Are you an officer?  What is your time commitment to other activities other than chorus?
  10. Do you realistically have the time to be a full-time chorus officer given your course load, college application procedures and other commitments?
