Welcome Letter from the Choral Booster Club President
Welcome to Walton Chorus!
On behalf of the Walton Chorus Booster Board, I want to wish you a successful start to the new year. The Booster Club is committed to supporting the educational and fundraising needs of the chorus program. As an organization, we will help our chorus directors with the resources they need to successfully lead our students. Our collective fundraising efforts will provide music, accompanists, recognitions, and classroom improvements, as well as cover the costs for special events.
Here is a checklist of items for the start of the year, which may all be handled on our Payment Checklist page:
Parent meeting – the annual parent meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 10th at 7:00 p.m. virtually via Zoom. An email will be sent with instructions and a link.
Booster donations – a significant portion of the Chorus budget is supported by donations from Booster Club members. I invite you to join the Booster Club with a donation of as little as $50. You can find details about the benefits associated with various levels of donation below. Your contributions are fully tax-deductible and directly impact your student’s experience in the program.
Volunteering – We are so excited with the prospect of bringing back some of our favorite Walton Chorus traditions and with that, we need parents!! Volunteer parents are essential in making our 420+ chorus students have the best year possible. We are requesting volunteers for some general needs as well as a few specifics for the fall semester. If you have any interest, please sign up and more information and details will follow soon to make sure it fits your schedule.
We look forward to working with you and your students throughout the year, and we are excited about sharing another year of amazing music together!

Walton Choral Booster Club
Walton Chorus depends on fundraising to enable us to present our students with the best music and equipment possible. Because we value our students’ and parents’ time and resources, we strive to keep our fundraising requests to a minimum. The Walton Choral Booster Club has designated three primary ways of raising funds to support our program:
1. Booster Club Student Participation Fee ($55 per student)
2. Booster Club Sponsorship through donations
3. Designate Walton Choral Booster Club as your charity while shopping via smile.amazon.com
The Booster Club spends a minimum of $108-$120 per student each year. Though Cobb County supplies Walton with the basic tools to run a chorus program, it is with the support of the Booster Club that Walton is able to do all the things that make the Chorus program so successful and outstanding. A very small portion of the choral budget comes from Cobb County, the rest comes from the support of the Booster Club.
In addition to the student participation fee, your generous Booster donations are critical to ensuring the continued success of the Walton Chorus. Here are the Sponsorship Benefits by level:
